ACC teams won all four of their games yesterday to bring the league record to 42-4. A quick summary of the four games is provided in the link below:

Hansbrough did not play last night and apparently Williams held him out because of the inferior opposition and physically demanding three-day tournament. They may need him tonight for Oregon and for the next game.

Miami made a nice comeback after their loss to UConn and they beat up San Diego. Florida State and Wake both won easily against so-so competition.

Tonight, there are five games (see link). Only UNC should be pushed.

Greivis Vasquez was named POW in the ACC and Landesberg earned ACC rookie honors for the second week in a row.

I saw most of the UNC game last night. They didn't look all that good to me until the Sliverswords lost their legs. Typically, UNC looked good in spurts in the first half, but would lose focus. In the second half Chaminade was just plain out of gas with only seven players available.

I will say, however, that Larry Drew continues to impress me. He is not nearly Lawson quick, but he's quick enough and plays with notable poise for a freshman. There will be a physical (speed and compact strength) drop off for sure when Lawson leaves for the NBA next year (as he almost certainly will barring injuries or stupid off court moves on his part), but not nearly as much as I was hoping. Drew might eventually be better at managing a team on the floor than Lawson is.
