Stop me if you have heard this one before:

An incoming ucon basketball player is expelled due to legal issues which are tremendously embarrassing to the university and which reveal the player's character to be well below the university's standards. HOWEVER, the player is an NBA level talent, so he is permitted back into the university and onto the team for the spring semester...

No, this isn't Marcus Williams (well, it was also Marcus Williams) it is the possible outcome of the Nate Miles fiasco, who violated a Court issued restraining order within SIXTEEN minutes its issuance. There were domestic violence issues underlying the issuance of the protective order against Miles, a 20 year old freshman.

The complaint filed against UConn freshman Nate Miles was dismissed Monday.

The woman who filed the complaint, a 19-year-old student, didn’t show up for the civil hearing. Neither did Miles.

Miles is back home in Toledo, Ohio, and plans to file an appeal with UConn after being kicked out of school for allegedly abusing the woman. Miles still faces charges of violating a restraining order against the woman and has a court appearance scheduled on Nov. 25.
