Very sad news for Tubby. Love or hate him as a coach, he is a good and decent man. Condolences to him and his family.

Tubby has always been a straight shooter and he sure put up with a whole lot of guff in KY.
I'm sorry to hear of such a terrible tragedy.

Here in Las Vegas, I got to see Tubby Smith coach in last season's Minnesota-UNLV game. It's definitely a job with lesser prestige, and he wore a tan sportcoat that made him resemble a Century 21 agent. But he seemed to be enjoying himself, and (from lower level seats) looked younger than I remember. His son Saul is on the Gophers staff as an assistant coach.

Fond thoughts to him and his family at this difficult time.
