Don't look now, but assuming the current scores stand up, Houston will be 2nd in the NL wildcard race, 4 games behind Milwaukee with 16 games to go. Whole season we were back ~10 games for the wildcard, but IIRC we had the best record in ML in August, and currently have won 12 out of their last 13 games. If the season started in August and ended in September, the Astros would always make the playoffs and stop giving me heart attacks.:D
Opponents with winning record:
Milwaukee (leader) has:
4 games (away) against Philly
6 games (3 home/3 away) left against division leading Cubs (4 games ahead of Milwaukee) - meaning they could potentially catch up to the Cubs
Houston (4 losses back) has:
3 against the Cubs (home)
St. Louis (4 losses back) has:
4 games (1 home/3 away) against the Cubs
Philadelphia (5 losses back) has:
4 games (home) against Milwaukee
