That one only gets played on the radio when it's a commercial. I think it's hard to top "I'd like to buy the world a Coke". They played that one for the hell of it.
I still prefer Pepsi though ;)

Neither of them ever get stuck in my head. I finally got rid of the freecreditreport pirate song, and have occasionally been stuck with being an Oscar-Meyer Wiener all day long.

Do actual songs count?

Chevy trucks w/ "This is Our Country"

Just when I thought I had gotten over "Like a Rock," they replace it with another catchy song... and I'm a Ford guy too :(

And the winner is:

Sometimes I dream
That he is me
You got to see that's how I dream to be
[Bum-bah-bum-bum-bum]
I dream I move,
I dream I groove,
Like Mike, if I could be like Mike (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0AGiq9j_Ak)

(I made the whole thing a url so you can all click and get it stuck in your head. If I have to live with this song for the next day, you should too.)

I really do like Gershwin in the United commercials.

As for funny jingles, I go with:
Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is!

I'd like to teach the world to sing, in perfect harmony...:o

Some of the early 70's jingles were GREAT!

Just gimme a Dr. Pepper! (We love it!)
Whoa-oh, just what the doctor ordered...
The taste that's made to order!

I'm partial to the "like Mike" jingle, listed above. I will be proclaiming that "I wanna be, I wanna be like Mi-ike" all day now. Thanks guys.;)

I'm Chiquita Banana,
And I've come to say,
Bananas have to ripen,
In a certain way.
You can put 'em in a salad.
You can put 'em in a pie, aye.
Any way you want to eat 'em,
You can never ever beat 'em.
So you should never put bananas,

Tell me you mean

My bologna has a first name
It's O-S-C-A-R
My bologna has a second name
It's M-A-Y-E-R
Oh I love to eat it every day
And if you ask me why I'll sayyyyyyyy
That Oscar Mayer has a way
With B-O-L-O-G-N-A.

Now maybe you got it confused with

I wish I were an Oscar Mayer weiner
It's what I truly truly truly want to be
'Cause if I was an Oscar Mayer weiner
Everyone would be in love with me.

The old Expedia tune was much better than the current one. They tweaked the original just enough that I don't like it anymore. I originally started using Expedia for my travel website needs because I liked that jingle (seriously:o), but now I'm a travel site mercenary.

EarlJam, I have officially docked you one friend point for bringing that up. I suggest that you get busy thinking of ways to earn it back.

It's one of the few commercials where I literally change the channel when it comes on. Another is the anti-virus commercial with some Russian woman. Her accent sounds fake and really bothers me.

How about an honest confession that I really do hate that commercial with all my heart and soul, followed by a related Braves question:

How come Glavine, Maddux, or Smoltz............or Chipper (though I can see that one a little more) never really made it on the national sponsorship stage?

Interestingly, they launched that commercial right before the 1998 (I think) season started. Both Glavine and Maddux homered within the first week of the season, and both had ERAs of 6 or 7+ through their first couple of starts. Both of them now shudder if/when asked about that commercial.

EarlJam, you have earned a point back and are now restored to previous friend status.

By the way, if Glavine and Maddox had posted, "Chicks dig the long ball" on DBR, you KNOW the moderators would have given them an infraction..............unless they knew it was Glavine and Maddox.

One of my friends for some reason imagined this was "Here's TWO good friends" and there were more than two people sitting there. For a good while thereafter we used to sing just this part of the jingle and substitute different numbers, like "Here's four good friends," or "Here's nine good friends," etc.

I know it's lame, but it used to make me laugh, anyway.
