The Denver Post articles states that it is a GUARANTEED contract. Good for Dahntay -- good for Duke fans in Colorado!

Somewhat surprising considering George Karl's open disdain of Duke players.
But a relative bargain at the NBA minimum....($1 million)

Dahntay was an absolute beast for the Nuggets in their summer league this year.

I think he may be a good fit in Denver. He needs to play somewhere where he can come in off the bench and play an up-tempo style. Hopefully, he'll get some P.T. there.

ALL NBA contracts are guranteed. That's why they have 7 and 10 day contracts for short term folks.

Denver needs some defense! Especially with their only good defensive player in Camby leaving.

...athletic as all get-out, but a shooter he ainīt. Plays great D and can get to the rim but he does not have a 3pt or deep jump-shot.
Glad to see him catch on again.

In his last full season with the Griz (when was actual getting 20+ MPG), Dahntay shot 47.7% from the field, 41.7% from three, and 79.3% from the stripe. Granted, he didn't shoot many 3's, but that's not terrible. D-Wade's never made over 30% from long distance and Kobe's never made more than 38%.

I also seem to recall reading a recent scouting report that said that he had really solidified his 3 pt shot. Of course, I suspect that his numbers during his last year in Memphis reflect the number of wide open 3's he took. I remember opposing teams leaving him open beyond the arc (which makes sense, since he tends to drive more often than shoot).

GREAT NEWS fpr DJ!! I don't think the Nuggets are going anywhere soon, but DJ will make his mark here. Can't wait to see him 'light it up.'

Good for Dahntay-- I think the Nugges style of play will suit him really well. Hopefully he'll stay on for another two or three year contract following this one year deal and finish up with a nice 10 year NBA career.

one thing for sure. when he's introduced to the media, Karl won't be asking him if they had a weight room at his college! :)

still, he'd better keep his mouth shut and not even ATTEMPT to talk to mello or AI, or karl will call in the CODE RED on him.........just like he did the jules..

Yeah, but we've seen this before...let's hope that the Nuggets are different than the Magic.
