Having trouble downoading version 2.0 Ipod

I have a 32 GB Itouch less than a month old. Downloaded 7.7, but having trouble with 2.0. When I hit "update" it goes toa variety of things saying "store not active" , Itunes could not be contacted" "do you want more info"

When I hit I want more info it say's 2.0 is available. I say update, it say "do you want more info".

Anybody else having trouble?

iTunes is down. Everyone is having this same problem- Apple can't keep up with the traffic.

The whole iTunes server has really wreaked havoc on the 3G iPhone launch (http://www.cnn.com/2008/TECH/ptech/07/11/iphone.sales.ap/index.html), too (which may be covered in the other thread... I haven't read that yet).
