I have a co-worked who has never, in her entire life, scene a youtube. I told her I would put together 3 or 4 of the best ever for her to watch.

She is somewhere from mid 30's to mid 40's (I can't quite tell for certain).

Any suggestions?

(I am planning on the inmates dancing to Thriller and the Battle at Krueger already).

the four i really like are:

charlie bit me- this is funny in the "hey look what my incredibally cute child just did"
blhuud-ditto
charlie and candy mountain- um, this one might only be funny to extremely sugar-hyped teenagers; watch at your own caution.
boom goes the dynamite- i think this is hilarious but most of family doesnt.

you should probably preview all of these first just to see if she would find them funny.

A few bad words in the song playing in the background, but still a video I watch weekly.

Keep in mind, a lot of that list is just music videos, not "viral" sort of videos.

This series didn't originate on youtube - but since we're talking about funny videos - and this is an internet message board - I thought I'd cover both at once:

This a pretty funny spoof on David Blaine's street magic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYxu_MQSTTY). There is some questionable language in this video so be advised.

I haven't opened those links, but the OK Go video (Here It Goes Again) was somewhat viral.

I'm a big Chad Vader fan but you've gotta be into that sort of thing to find it funny in the first place.

Yay for "Free hugs" and thanks for introducing me to Darius.

I believe Numa Numa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60og9gwKh1o) is considered a classic.

Edit: Apparently, Time magazine agreed (http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1183902-2,00.html) (in 2006).

This list (http://www.vidfan.com/top10.php) also has Numa Numa at #2. I have also been a fan of #10, #7, #4, #3, and #1. I am definitely not that fond of Hasselhoff singing.

Umm, wow! This uber-nerd finds that shocking. My technophobe 60-yo mom constantly plays Youtube videos for her 2 year old granddaughter (the kid has class -- she's a big fan of Rowlf vids from 70s era Muppets Show), so I guess I thought everyone had the Youtube religion by now.
