    Spicy DBR!

What's up with these ads? They are nice. Very nice. But it may limit my opening of DBR to home only (maybe not a bad thing).

Pics or it didn't happen. I'm not seeing anything provocative.

I noticed that they appeared more during our discussion of first celebrity crushes. Especially the one on the right with the yellow bikini.

Hmm, perhaps in response to Ymo's mention of Elle.

This must be what Google's algorithm says will get some click throughs...

Bingo. You can thank dkbaseball's use of 'bikini.' Hey, now I bet we'll have them here!

Hmm, maybe I can confuse it: purple monkey dishwasher.

We should be able to reverse engineer their algorithm in no time...why can't Yahoo! and MSFT seem to get it right?

Hmmm, I was thinking it went unnoticed.

It's not the algorithm -- it's the volume. The barrier to entry is a higher population of visitors leading to higher fees to advertisers leading to higher payback to hosting sites leading to more hosting sites leading to a higher population of visitors.

I think all Lindsey will get us are drug rehab ads?

All I was getting was ads about buying Duke University on Ebay (sure, great algorithm there!) Then I go to respond and the yellow bikini is back there. In reality, I just assume that most of the ads are of attractive women wearing little clothing and that's why we get a preponderance of them.

Yeah, but you're an infamous board hacker.

I actually saw that ad on the main board. As for blocking ads, I don't ad-block, but I have flash off by default, so I only see text-based ads.

The new adds are great - that is until you change boards and your excitement from viewing hot babes in bikinis falls instantaneously to the morally unacceptable vision of Hillary's face in full, up-close vileness.

    Wink Bacteria, band-aids, ice cream

    Hmm...

Zebras, coffee, washcloth, recipe, arthritis, insurance, mortgage.

    That oughta calm things down!

    Cheers,
