Great ones! I just bought Big Trouble In Little China and Night of the Comet! When I was a kid, Night of the Comet scared me. I was so afraid of turning into a pile of red powder.

Wow. I had never heard of this one. Just saw the trailer on YouTube. Thank you, thank you very much.

Does "They Live" count? I figure any movie that stars Rowdy Roddy Piper and Louis Gosset Jr. HAS to be a B Movie, AT BEST. Possibly a C+ movie even.

They showed that about 100 times on late night Showtime/Cinemax during my childhood, probably explaining my immature attitudes towards women, rocket launchers, and toilet snakes.

Is is just me or does 'Night of the Comet' really come up a lot in conversation?

    Weird.

I haven't heard any feedback on my listing of Bubba Ho-Tep, so maybe no one has seen it. Do yourself a favor over the holiday and crank it up. Bruce Campbell at his best.

I've seen it. It's good. A bit too good. I consider it more of a tongue-in-cheek homage to the genre as opposed to the unabashed muck-wallowing of Hard Ticket.

It was great. Campbell is one of my hero's. I bought "If Chins Could Kill" and then someone borrowed it before I could read it. This makes me mad.

Definitely. I think it's safe to say that the B distinction includes all those movies in lower grades as well.

Well, in the really bad category, I don't really know any of the names of them, but as an insomniac, how about all the really bad movies that USA network used to show starting at midnight or so, hosted by Gilbery Gottfried. Some really amazing badness.

But to name a few from my youth(not that some of these are actually any good, but I have fond memories of them from the days when I lacked something called... taste):
    Beastmaster
    Gymkata
    Solarbabies
    The Toxic Avenger
    The Wraith

and then there is the king of all B-movies... cue Queen music...

    Flash Gordon!

These two go on my all-time home sick list. They were always on HBO (as was Midnight Madness) when I stayed home from school. I'm not sure, but The Wraith had to be some of Sheen's best work. He wore a helmet most of the movie and had very few speaking lines. Oh yeah, and Ron Howard's brother is in that movie; he's the nerdy mechanic guy.
    Great adds.
