The name of this great SNES game I can't remember...

Can anybody help me with the name of this SNES game I can't remember?

It was a two-player game and it operated as if it were like chess, in that there were grids along which the two players - who started at opposite ends - could move. They were also obstacles in the way on the grid. Each player had different units of fighters, as well as one sort of super fighter who was bigger than the rest and more powerful.

For SNES, maybe treasure hunter G? That's just a guess though.

I only played Archon on the PC, was it also on the consoles? That was a ways back! I don't think it was battle chess, as that game was just chess with animations.

No, it's not that game, but sort of similar. The players weren't laid out as orderly as in chess. The grids had landscape like grass and such, and perhaps walls, too. And I don't think the characters were equal on each side. There was this one guy for each team that was much bigger and more powerful/magical than the rest.

It must have been SNES because the graphics were much better than Archon.
