WLax: Duke Gets Favorable Draw

For a number 11 overall seed with seven losses, the Duke women's lax team made out like bandits today. In the first round, they play Georgetown, who they beat during the regular season. If they beat the Hoyas again, they face the winner of Maryland and Temple, and the Blue Devils also beat the Terps during the regular season.

In the women's tournament, first and second round games are played on the higher seeded team's home field. So Duke could find itself playing in the DC area on successive weekends. Hopefully the DC area Duke community will turn those sites neutral.
