    Smile Phoenix Picks

After a dreadful finish last week, here are my picks for this week's race:

    1. Kahne
    2. TStew
    3. Kyle

Seems as though I keep rooting for Toyota an awful lot this year. It's strange to see Sadler on the front row today.

    Boogety, boogety, boogety!

    Cheers,

    Thumbs down Stewart's car

It's Subway Yellow; the familiar Home Depot orange is not there today for this race.

    Ycch.

I'm picking Tony Stewart to win this one, though am routing for Jr.

Did any of y'all here DW (or was it Jeff Hammond) say Kyle Petty should race for another team? What are your thoughts on that?

I dont know about that. I heard it, but don't quite understand why he would do that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but KP hasnt been an elite competitor in a couple of years has he? I dont know (a) what makes Hammond think he would be more successful with another team or (b) that another team would want to take KP.

We're on the same page. I thought perhaps I was missing something.

This race was a lot of fun to watch, probably second behind only Daytona. Of course, I am biased . JJ won again, all is right in the world!!!

Meanwhile, I turned it off after Kahne, my choice, hit the wall. UGGH!!

WHAT is going on with Jeff Gordon?

DOn't look now, but Jr is in 3rd place in the overall standings.

I was just looking at a race recap and saw Jeff Burton came in 6!!! That is pretty awesome, considering he spent a large part of the race back in the thirties (or at least it seemed like he did). Burton is just staying steady - nothing too flashy, just racing every lap there is to be raced. What are the odds we could get a little Duke Decal on his car for 'Dega?
