i'm too young for this but...
"in your face"
Winner gets a quick poem about them from me, EarlJam.
Back in the late 70s / early 80s, when you played backyard basketball, if you swished a jump shot while being defended, it was popular to proudly yell out a certain term.
Name that term.
(this came up in discussion with a friend last night - and we want to bring the term back in business and all walks of life).

Too old...Jeez this board does make me realize my age too often...
BUT.......
"Swish......"
Facial?
don't people still say "swish" and "in your face"?

Well, from where I'm from it was always just, "Face!"
But I will accept "In your face" and "Facial!"

We used to holler "Cotton!" too. As in, the material in the net (though it doubtless wasn't actually cotton).
DC in the early 90's had a bunch of versions:
Face
Mouth
Nets
Money
Cash
Butter
Splash
Water
Or just yelling your favorite player ("Jordan!") - I seem to recall a Chappelle show or SNL skit about applying this to other situations, but not remembering completely
buckets and splash were both used as well

We used to also say "Douche!"
I think we heard the term, "Deuce!" somewhere and tweaked it a bit for Burlington's notorious East side.

We would always say "Jordan" after hitting a turn around. I would always say "Good" after hitting a bomb.
sheegup was also said, although typing that one out probably doesn't do it justice

One other key distinction - "Face" or "Jordan" was said during the shot, not after, so sometimes it wouldn't really work out all that well.
for some reasons my friends and I would call out Yahtzee if we hit a big shot in someone's face. That carried over to the golf course, and when someone rolls in a long putt you will often heare "yyyyaaaaaaahhhhhTZEE"
My Quick Smells Like French Toast.
Around our parts, we would yell, "U.S. REEEEEEDDDDD!" Or maybe that was just in my family. (U.S. Reed was a Razorback basketball player; he hit a half-court game winner in the NCAA Tourney against Louisville in 1981.) In fact, that's what I still say when I hit the trash can with a wad of paper from across the room. None of that trite "in your face" stuff for me.
EarlJam, like the new avatar. Gone With the Wind, right?
