It appears that Frank Dascenzo's parents -- both of them -- passed away last week. Sincere condolences to Mr. Dascenzo.

I always enjoy reading his columns, even if I don't like his paper. Losing a parent is difficult. Losing two in one week must be devastating. My condolences to Mr. Dascenzo.
What a touching obituary, such affection and devotion. Sympathies to the Dascenzo family.
That's quite a story, and particularly strikes home---my parents are also natives of Pittsburgh, also in their mid-eighties, also married 60+ years, and also in declining health, one with Alzheimers and one with physical ailments. It's very sad to see your parents faltering.
Sincere condolences to Mr. Dascenzo; I've met him a few times, and chatted briefly with him; he seems like a standup guy, and is certainly a bright spot in a newspaper that I've grown to dislike. I hope that the closeness and love that his parents had for each other is a consoling thought.
