All the best of luck to him and Minnesota.
Looks like Ted has accepted the job at Minnesota, replacing their old DC who is going to unc.
The UL stint did not last long. A step up though, from linebackers coach, back to DC.
Congratulations Ted!

That's pretty cool. I was torn seeing him leave. I know we needed a new direction, but he put his heart in Duke football. It's hard to do it alone. Too bad it took the university so long to see the commitment couldn't be a one man job. I'm glad to see him get a chance again.
Congratulations Coach Roof, much success.
This looks to be a great move for Ted Roof.
There is nowhere to go but up for the Gopher defense, based upon the abysmal performance in 2007, when they gave up almost 520 yds/gm (worst in the country). In addition, it looks like Ted may get some talent to work with over the coming years. 1st year head coach Tim Brewster is a tireless recruiter, and signed a top-20 class this year - coming off a 1-10 season, this is quite remarkable - and ~2/3 of the recruits are on the defensive side of the ball. Further, Minnesota will open a new, on-campus stadium in 2009, which will help immensely in recruiting and funding.
Best of luck to TR and the Gophers!
