For me, it came down to A Christmas Story or Christmas Vacation, but I definitely would have liked to see Home Alone in the mix.

How about: A Very Brady Christmas?

That movie rocked! And the way Mike saved those trapped workers from the building. So VERY realistic.

"Oh my God! The building's on fire and men are trapped inside! Quick! For God's sake! Call an architect!"

My favorite is "The Bishop's Wife". Unluckily, not listed.

    It's on right now...

Scrooged. Watching it on HBO right now. I still love it. Any move that has Buster Poindexter in it has to get bonus points.

    Love, Actually

I voted for A Christmas Story, but I would like to nominate Love, Actually. We already have the movie, so I got the soundtrack for my wife's xmas present this year.

Agreed. We've started watching this one every year.

(Note: it's not exactly for children, though)

I always liked The Ref myself. Dennis Leary, Kevin Spacey, Christine Baranski, and Judy Davis at their finest. Home for the Holidays with Holly Hunter, Downey Jr, and Anne Bancroft is fun too. Not really kids movies though.

My kids like the Santa Clause and Polar Express.

I loved Charlie Brown Christmas and the Chipmunks Christmas, and before you say those weren't movies, neither was the original Grinch. My wife loves the old Rudolph one with Hermy and the Bumble.

    Happy Holidays!

    Macy's!

Miracle on 34th Street. The original version, in black and white, not colorized.

I walked through Macy's on Thursday before the game. I didn't sit in Santa's lap, but I should have asked him for a victory that night.

That is a great list. I love all those movies, but "It's a Wonderful Life" is one of my top 5 favorites of all movies, so I have to put it as my top Christmas movie.

Unhappy Not Happy With This List

Is this the best we've got??????!!!! Sigh. No White Christmas, Christmas in Connecticut, Bells of St. Mary's, Bishop's Wife (fabulous), Home Alone, Holiday, The Man who came to Dinner, etc. etc. etc.

The list to choose from is sorely lacking!!! (Sorry...but lame).

I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" with my daughter every Christmas Day for many years. It was our tradition and therefore wins my vote. With my daughter all grown up and not living at home, I watched sports/surfed the Internet instead.

I watched that yesterday for the first time. If that is a classic, it is a very minor classic. Actually, my review would be "what a terrible movie that is".

I second your nomination for Scrooged. We make a point of watching it every year. Buster Poindexter just about steals the show, for sure.
