Cats can sense that I am allergic to them and will not leave me alone when I visit friends that have them.

I seem to remember that cats are intimidated by direct eye contact, especially wide-eyed contact. If you stare a cat in the eyes, then squint your eyes, the cat will most likely respond by squinting there eyes as well, a gesture of kindness and trust. I'm incapable of research at this hour, but maybe I can dig into this more tomorrow when I'm supposed to be working.

Anywho, if the above is true, and you consider that those allergic to cats are most likely to avoid direct eye contact with cats, then you can surmise that cat-allergy-sufferers might actually encourage the attention of cats by ignoring them. Try staring them directly in the eyes, maybe they'll feel threatened and leave you alone.

It's only 10:39 a.m. here in Durham. Feels like this day should be moving faster than it is.

That wouldn't be the first time a fortune cookie lied. How's the weather?

Weather here is on the cool side. Everyone is complaining that their tomatoes never grew because it was too wet and cool all summer...
