    V Foundation Question

On the night of the Jimmy V, both Dan Shulman and John Saunders mentioned that 100% of donations went directly to cancer research. My question is, how is this possible? As with any charity, there has to be some kind of operating/administrative cost connected with collecting and distributing the money, and even just existing as a charitable organization in general. Do they just get all of this underwritten from other sources, such that donations from the "general public" actually do go 100% to cancer? Were Shulman and Saunders only talking about donations received that night? Or is there some funny math going on with the V Foundation?

According to the V Foundation website, 83 cents of every dollar goes to research. It is possible that ESPN has some arrangement to make a partial matching payout for all money donated through espn.com or during the ESPN-sponsored fundraiser such that ESPN effectively cashes out the administrative portion of any donation.
