    Duke-UNC this year

Another way of sizing up how you feel about the rivalry.

I voted 14-2, but we beat them in the ACC tournament and in the semi-final of the final four.

As much as I hate the Heels, I hate the thought of losing to Maryland, State, UVa, Wake, etc. even more.

That is the scariest decision I've ever made and I don't wholeheartedly support it.

Hopefully, Mchambers will be woken up tomorrow by a Balrog.

I'd prefer that Hansbrough or Ol' Roy receive the Balrog, thank you.

i greatly dislike carolina; i'll never forget king rice running past me and shouting 'haa!' (at me) as he was going to be interviewed by espn in cameron. they'd just won by a very large margin and i was depressed walking off of the floor and the dude comes running by, sees me walking out of cameron, and he chooses to rub it in my face.

    carolina delenda est.

    dth.

I would like to see the better record. As much as I hate Carolina, I would rather be a great team and go deep in the NCAA's.

    Arghhh!!!

This question is like asking would you rather have colon cancer or lung cancer? Would you rather catch your wife with the pool boy or the milk man? Talk about picking your poison!! Okay I picked beating UNC twice. And for the record we don't have a pool boy so if you are a milk man stay out of my neighborhood!

This poll is the devil's making - and not the blue kind. I chose 14-2 and then felt sick.

    Agreed.

I'm voting for the first option. Duke basketball has moved so far beyond the "local rivalry" that I'd rather endure two losses to the heels in an otherwise successful season, than beat Carolina twice and bottom out the rest of the league. We measure success now by competing for and winning championships, not bragging rights. Besides, didn't we endure this in the 93-94 season, Grant's senior year?

What's wrong with the Devil's making?

After all, we are the Blue Devils.

To be clear on my motives, I'm sure we all are hoping for 16-0, beat UNC 4 times, and win the national title. But a post on another thread made me think about how I'd feel if we went 14-2, but both losses were to UNC.

Here's to 16-0, with 4 wins over UNC!

    No.

I refuse to participate in this awful, awful poll on the grounds that Ozzie, the paradigm of optimism would not approve.

My crystal ball is functioning well: We split, home-and-home; however, we win the ACC Championship (note: I will not vote is such a manipulative, invidious poll).
