RIP.
I hope he can be honored without being weaponized for political purposes. As a great man once said though, you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled first.

RIP. He was a good and decent man; a loss for all of us.
RIP, he was a great guy who always stood by his values.
We could use more people like Lieberman.
Rest in Peace.
Being a gen X'er, I'll always associate Lieberman with his war against Mortal Kombat in the early 90s. Didn't he end up going independent during the end of his political run? I do think he was a person of values, but he seemed to grow a bit more conservative (in the traditional sense, not the fascist one) as he got older.
The other thing I remember is how people remarked how he resembled Senator Palpatine from the Star Wars prequels.
Lieberman continued to support the Iraq War after it became unpopular. He was unlikely to win the Democratic primary, so he ran and won as an independent. I believe he caucused with the Dems and retained his committee assignments.
Also, didn't he support his buddy McCain over Obama in 2008?
