Alex bogeys the 2nd easiest hole on the course, taking 4 shots to get down from 110 yards. Gonna be a long morning.

Alex +3 through 5. Sigh.

Unfortunately, my first post on the tournament will be correct. Alex now +5 through 12. His tee shot on the 166-yard par-3 just missed by 20 yards and he took a double bogey. He's not even given himself a chance all day, he's only had 1 birdie putt inside 25 feet and that 1 was outside 10 feet. He'll fall further outside the top-125 in the FedExCup. He's only made 1 cut in 8 events. Ugh.

Our guys need to make hay this weekend, it's a weak field after Arnie's and The Players. Many of the top golfers are taking it off, there's only 18 of the top-50 and 5 of the top-25.

Alex bogeys the first and hits his second tee shot into the trees. Again spraying all his shots way wide right. Gonna be another long day.

Ain't that the truth. It's only gotten worse. He's one shot off the worst round of the morning. On the bright side, it frees up a lot of time for my weekends.
I don't know if he's battling an injury, in the midst of a swing change, or has just lost it. I can't find any info or even discussion on the web. He was literally a stroke or two away from being one of the top-50 golfers on the tour last year.
