The funniest thing to me is that the ref is 1000% serious when he says it, like "giving him the business" is an official term that has been used hundreds of times.

I love these guys--it makes the game a lot more fun. Personally more the head referee talks after a play the more I like it.

There was an older guy in the SEC who ended a call in the late 90s with "by rule, you cannot do that."
