    Great TV Lines

What are some of your favorite lines from TV or movies over the years?

Here are a few of mine:

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.
Arthur Carlson, GM: WKRP in Cincinatti

    "Jane, you ignorant slut!"

"Lucy....You got some splainin to do!"
    Ricky Ricardo, I Love Lucy

    "Book 'em, Danno"
    (Steve McGarrett, "Hawaii Five-O")

"It's going to be legen...wait for it...and I hope you're not lactose-intolerant 'cause the second half of that word is...dary!"
    - Barney (Doogie Houser), How I Met Your Mother

Fry: So you're saying these aren't the decaying ruins of New New York in the year 4000?
Farnsworth: You wish! You're in Los Angeles.
Fry: But there was this gang of ten year olds with guns!
    Leela: Exactly, you're in LA.
Fry: But everyone is driving around in cars shooting at each other!
    Bender: That's LA for ya!
Fry: But the air is green and there is no sign of civilization what so ever!
Bender: He just won't stop with the social commentary...
Fry: And the people are all phonies, no one reads, everything has cilantro on it...

Well, if movie lines are allowed,

"Son, you got a panty on your head." (Clerk, Raising Arizona.)

"Randy lay there like a slug; it was his only defense." (Narrator, A Christmas Story)

"Do you own a pair of rubber gloves?"
"No, I lease with an option to buy." (Fletch F. Fletch)

"Anything travels that far oughta have a damn stewardess on it, don't you think?" (no explanation needed.)

You are correct...it was great! And the lead up to it just set it off. That was a funny show.

LOL! Thanks for sharing this. I never saw this episode, and I'm regretting it.

"It was like the turkeys mounted a counterattack!"

Andre Dawkins: “People ask me if I can still shoot, and I ask them if they can still breathe. That’s kind of the same thing.”

One of the best series ever. Cancelled well before its time.

I think that episode is one of the funniest ever on TV.

I was first bowled over by Les's play-by-play where, channeling the Hindenburg disaster, he saw the turkeys falling and plaintively called out, "Oh...the humanity..." as the turkeys plummeted from the sky to the parking lot.

Okay, my most often used movie line:

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!"

The other great line from that WKRP episode was:

Les Nesman: "The turkeys are hitting the ground like bags of wet cement."

From the Sarah Silverman show recently:

Cop at the window of Sarah's car: Ma'am, do you know why I'm standing here?
Sarah: Because you got all C's in high school.
