    Optimism...

    I'm a big fan of optimism...
    And i picked us losing in the final 4...
    That said, if you polled the fans of all the teams in the top 25 and then added up the percentage who said their team would get to at least the final 4, do you think that would give us about 18 teams in the final 4?

    I agree, this will be their main weakness. Aside from that, strong team this year.

    You ought to get a good rate ... since the Final Four is in San Antonio this year.

    (There are no NCAA Tournament games in Indy this season)

    Sweet Sixteen

    I'm thinking the sweet sixteen sounds about right. The freshman should be against the proverbial brick wall by then (begging for the off-season) and Duke will come up just a little short.

    Duke's tourney success will depend quite a bit on the regional placement. To me it always seems like Duke nearly always ends up in a tough region with difficult match-ups. If Thad Matta can take a team of very average players and a superstar freshmen class to the NCAA Finals, Coach K should be able to get this team with a returning strong nucleus and a solid freshmen class to the Elite 8, regardless of the region. This team will do great things before the year is over. I just don't think they have enough to get to the Final 4 but sure

    Closing the thread as our official preseason predictions. We should revisit this during the season to see how expectations change.
