    Men's Basketball APR

Has anyone see the APR for Duke men's basketball. I would assume that players leaving early must hurt.

    Thanks

Here is the latest report on all Duke sports, released just a couple weeks ago.

Also, here are the Duke basketball numbers over the past 13 years... as you can see, it did tick down in 2016-17, though it is still an excellent number that would put Duke among the top half of colelge basketball teams in APR. The NCAA always looks at multi-year APR, as it believes single years are too small of a sample size and can distort reality. That said, the single year number for 2016-17 for Duke men's hoops is 918, which is woefully bad, ranking only among the 10th-20th percentile in D1 hoops. Ouch!

Players leaving early (or transferring) don’t hurt your APR as long as they are in good academic standing when they leave.

So how is this calculated again...If transfers and players leaving early don't hurt than someone has to be ineligible for this to be any less than 1000???

^ the most likely scenario is one of our OAD players not finishing his class work in the spring semester after declaring. And honestly, a player in that scenario has zero incentive to continue going to class when they could instead be preparing for the draft. I assume that K requires some sort of commitment from them when they sign on that they will pass their classes.
