Carole King "Beautiful" in Charlotte

Although I live in the San Francisco Bay area, I received a notice that the Carole King musical 'Beautiful' has a one-week run in Charlotte, April 17-22. Mrs. Jim3K and I saw the second version of this musical in 2016 in San Francisco and were blown away by its excellence. Abby Mueller played King, while the Charlotte version will offer Sarah Bockel. If you live in the Carolinas, I urge you to look into this performance. It will be an evening and money well spent. It is so real you will think Carole is on stage.

One of my more memorable concert-going experiences was seeing Carole King open for James Taylor at Dorton Arena in Raleigh. This was a week or so before Tapestry was released. So, we got to hear those songs for the first time in concert before we had heard the recording.
