Interesting discovery: If you "highlight" the last 3 letters of pass, you get wankered.

[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

Apologies if this was previously posted, by Zach Harmon has been named to the Rimington Award watch list for centers.

Looking up the award, it looks like over 50 folks on the watch list. Not sure if they narrow down during the season or not.

Glad to see any and all good ink about the OL.

Steve Wiseman has an article up on the Blue Devil defense:

    https://www.newsobserver.com/sports/...215119870.html

Money quote is courtesy Joe Giles-Harris:

“We were good last year,” Giles-Harris said. “We got some accolades. We were good. But we weren’t great. At the end of the day, that’s what you strive to be.”
The defense has the potential to be great in 2018.

Coach Cutcliffe has some nice comments further down in the article so it is definitely worth your time to give it a read.

A thought experiment: What if you highlight just one of the last three letters of "pass" and leave off the "p" entirely?

That works except you have to add a 4th character, any keyboard entry will do, as you can't have a post using only 3 characters/letters/numbers.

Another oddity: one emoji does not constitute a legitimate post but two are acceptable.

I believe what we're discussing here is known as an end run.

And a thought about emojis. I believe that an emoji is generally coded as 2 ASCII characters so two emojis would be an acceptable 4 characters.

Mark Gilbert on Jim Thorpe Award watch list:

    http://www.theacc.com/news/2018/7/23...atch-list.aspx

This list includes 35 of the nation’s best defensive backs, representing 11 conferences. The preseason watch list is selected by a screening committee who compiles a list of 30-50 players. This list is not final, and players who have outstanding seasons are added as the season progresses.
EDIT: Here is the GoDuke.com article

Although I am confident that we can exceed expectations, I think that list is not unreasonable given we play @GT (otherwise I might flip us and them). GT also gets Clemson and Miami at home -- while they will be underdogs in both, the home field gives them a smidge more of a chance for an upset.

    Cannot wait!

(Although I will add -- since I will be at the GT game, GT's home field advantage is illusory. I'll be bringing the Full OPK to Bobby Dodd Stadium and Grant Field.)
