    We had cooler weather the last few weeks. Now that fall is arriving, the temperatures are warming up. I think it may have something to do with the gates slowly opening to the east getting ready to accept the sacrificial goats (rams?) arriving from the undistinguished university in Chapel Hill.

    This is so disappointing. We have an event tomorrow which pits athletes from a certain institution which we all love to make fun of (especially these days), against those from dear old Duke. This is the famed Status Check thread and no one has posted anything since last night? If I didn't know better I'd say we here at DBR are slipping. That said, it bears repeating...

    I love the enthusiasm "to make fun of" but speaking just for me, the past 2 decades of the carolina way have made it more of a please destroy those cheating bastards, win cleanly, remain healthy, get a tetanus shot and a good shower, then move on. The rivalry was intense and fun when it was a rivalry, now, it's a trip to the sewer.
