Yeah I wonder if there’s a role for a 6’8 post player without a jump shot in the NBA.? He’s not as quick as Lance but still a solid defender.

You can say that again. For the avoidance of doubt, he's leading the G-League in rebounds per game, which in and of itself is impressive before I further point out that his average is 13.0(!) rebounds per game - a full 2.3 rpg higher than 2nd place!

    Oh my!

Lance can shoot outside and Amile doesn't, but there will always be a place for a guy who can convert Oboards or breakdowns on offense into a bucket. Amile has an amazing ability to use angles around the glass. He needs to get a little bit stronger to be able to be able to slide over to PF from time to time. His lack of a jumper is really killing his NBA potential, or the perception of NBA potential. He needs a chance to show that he does/doesn't have what it takes to make a positive impact for a team in the NBA. Rebounding is a skill that translates well between levels, and Amile was a good rebounder at Duke, he's a good rebounder in the G-league, and ought to be a good rebounder in the NBA if given a chance.

It also bears noting that in the a few of these highlight videos, Amile is shown hitting the occasional 15-20 ft jumper. They are clearly not his bread and butter, but he is showing more range than he ever did at Duke. No NBA 3 range yet, but the potential may be there.

It took Lance a couple of years to do anything significant in the NBA, so as long as Amile keeps expanding his range he'll keep himself in the discussion. He's so much better around the rim than Lance has ever been, that it seems like the 2 ought to cancel each other out. Anyway, i would be surprised if Amile doesn't make a roster this year at some point.
