Ok basketball experts. Since Rasheed has signed to Dijon France why is he still playing for the Hornets Summer League team?
The Sixers roster is a veritable whos-who of highly touted prospects who went to Kentucky and saw their NBA dreams die. While Cal and the media love to talk about how he has a NBA pipeline there in the Bluegrass state, the reality is that he has had his fair share of misses too. The Sixers roster includes Alex Poythress, Aaron Harrison, and Isaiah Briscoe (who seemed less than delighted at how his Kentucky career went when asked about it at the NBA combine a couple months ago).
-Jason "I feel sorry for Aaron Harrison. His identical twin, Andrew has always been pretty much the same player, but now Andrew is making $1 mil per season in the NBA and Aaron is spending most of his time with a D/G League team" Evans

Adebayo had a great first quarter for the Heat. 12 points... 6 for 6 from the line and a steal at the top of the key that led to a euro-step and layup...
The Philly v Boston game is really good. Interesting watching Semi, Tatum and Fultz.

JAYSON TATUM ICE COLD WITH THE GAME WINNER!!!

Not a bad way to start out your professional career eh?
Over rated... honestly, he looked too comfortable out there. I was also very impressed by Fultz. This draft might have been shallow in terms of franchise level talent but it might have more starter/rotation level talent than expected. Kennard and Tatum are on another level offensively when compared to their teammates.
Game winner was clutch. The thunder dunk was awesome. The fake turnaround/step through against Fultz might have been my favorite though. All the highlights in the link below

Coach K on Kyle Singler - "What position does he play? ... He plays winner."
"Duke is never the underdog" - Quinn Cook
Marshall had 6 points in 21 minutes in a 99-87 loss. The key is that he limited himself to 6 fouls.

The Mavericks beat the Magic 86-76. There is no foul news, but NBA.com still has Ding Yanyuhang listed as Ding Ding, which is funny to me for some reason. Maybe if I was playing, they would list me as Tan Tan.

The Pacers beat the Heat 86-83. Jarnell Stokes hit the 8 foul mark in the win while Zach Auguste also made it there in the loss.

Here is Tuesday's schedule (times EDT, games live on both NBATV and ESPN3):
Hornets vs Thunder, 1pm
Pacers vs Mavericks, 3pm
Heat vs Pistons (Luke), 5pm
The Jazz actually did release a roster, but apparently only through their PR Twitter account, which nobody else picked up and posted. They may have just been trying to hide the fact that they picked up J.P. Tokoto so that brevity would not be prepared to roast them. There is no truth to the rumor that Utah is considering loosening their infamous liquor laws to make it easier for those not restricted by religion to cope with the situation.

To me, the lesson in Calipari's system is that you should go when the time is right instead of believing that you can improve your draft stock because he already has your replacement in the wings whether you stay or go. Briscoe figured it out a year too late when he could have been in the D League or even drafted and given the opportunity to improve the skills he needed sooner. I think the Harrisons would both have been better off leaving after their freshmen years and learning the hard lessons early rather than staying another year and helping their egos, but not their draft stocks. The Harrisons are actually right at around the same career earnings so I think both still have the opportunity to outshine the other.
Reasons from Rasheed's perspective:
-He may have a clause in his contract that would allow him to terminate it if he got an NBA deal.
-He still gets the chance to impress NBA and overseas scouts for future deals.
-He would be playing basketball regardless, either doing individual or group workouts or playing in a local Pro-Am or The Basketball Tournament, and this is still the best place to play right now.
Reasons from Dijon's perspective:
-Rasheed needs to stay in shape before he joins the team.
-Rasheed gets high level competition before their preseason.
Reasons from Charlotte's perspective:
-They still want to scout him for the future.
-They still need backups to swallow some of the minutes off the bench.
-He played in Greensboro last season, so he probably knows their system better than other people on the team, which makes him valuable in teaching the other players and also likely knowing what he's doing most of the time on the court.
Rasheed did not play as the Hornets beat the Thunder 95-81. Yannis Morin hit the 7 foul mark.

Luke had 18 points in 31 minutes, hitting the free throws that sent the game to overtime before the Pistons won 73-71 in the second extra frame, which is sudden death. Zach Auguste had 7 fouls in the loss for the Heat.

The second overtime is a sudden death affair... some have suggested that the same rules should apply to the second half of the upcoming wisconsin/uva challenge match up.
Team USA had a scrimmage in 2010 that ended with a sudden-death alley-oop in overtime.
The teams were well balanced, so well balanced that at the end of ‘regulation,’ the score was tied 47-all.
So, since the rest of the night was hoops with a twist, the extra period also contained a little something extra. Coach K decided that the game should end in a sudden death.Interesting to note, team USA Blue that night had Durant, Curry, and Iguodala. Imagine how unfair it would be for a regular team to have that level of talent!USA Blue won the tip and the ball found its way to Rondo, who moved the ball up the court. The first Blue shot was off the mark, but Chandler leapt up and tipped the ball back out to Rondo. He returned the favor several seconds later with a pin-point accurate, alley-oop pass to Chandler for the ‘golden basket’ and his only bucket of the game.
I watched most of tonight's Sixers-Jazz game. It just ended, and Tokoto didn't play. On the official box score, next to Tokoto's name, it says "DNP - AVOIDING MOCKERY".
Tomorrow night is the "No Hard Feelings, Right?" Classic: Jazz vs. Celtics. Tokoto Time! If ever there were a time to unleash a wing player that will make Utahns forget about Gordon Hayward, this is it.
