    Shannon Rowbury broke the U.S. 5000m record yesterday in Brussels, finishing in 14:38. She now holds national records in the 1500m, 5000m, and 2 mile (infrequently run). She is the first to simultaneously hold the 1500m and 5000m national records since Mary Slaney in the 1980s.

    Thought I'd point out that Shannon Rowbury is competing (again) in the European Diamond League. She finished a very nice 5th, just 20 seconds behind the winner in the 5000 meters in a field of 13 on a very hot night in Monaco. Her coach says she is in good shape! In this COVID-19 warped - Olympic-less 2020, it is nice to see the Duke Alum in the game.
