Way to go Laken! Some good news (for a change) for Lion Nation.

Laken Tomlinson proved to be a great pickup for my Lions this year. I was proud that he went from Duke Blue to Honolulu Blue...I'm even prouder now. One of the few bits of great news from my franchise and we need it!

    Congrats #72!

If you don't mind... I don't think I heard the term "Honolulu Blue" before... can you briefly explain?

My guess would be that it's a bit too pale/washed out for his palate/palette and blazindw rightfully refuses to refer to it as c*rolina blew, err, blue, but I'll let him post for himself .

Me either, but if you google it, all the responses are about the Detroit Lions.
The shade of blue used for Lions uniforms and logos is officially known as "Honolulu blue", which is supposedly inspired by the color of the waves off the coast of Hawaii. The shade was chosen by Cy Huston, the Lions first vice president and general manager, and of the choice, he said: "They had me looking at so many blues I am blue in the face," Huston said about the selection. "But anyway, it's the kind of blue, I am told, that will match with silver."

Yes, Honolulu Blue and Silver are the official colors of the Detroit Lions. It is NOT that same color blue as that school down the road uses.

I concur. It's a very nice blue. Lion fans may cry tears of despair but not tears of blood as anyone watching the boobs down the road is susceptible to.
