Would you settle for a tulip?

    From Diamonds:
Bond: What can I bring you back from Holland?
Moneypenny: A diamond? In a ring?
Bond: Would you settle for a tulip?
    Moneypenny: [sighs] Mm, yes.

Thanks Tilly. What a sad day!

Here's to hoping Moneypenny returns in the next Bond ... whenever that will be.

    Cheers,
    Lavabe

Lois Maxwell had great moments with all the Bonds she worked with.

LM: "Why don't you come over to my place for dinner... (casual hat toss) ...and I'll cook you a beautiful Angel Food cake!"
Bond: "Well, nothing would give me greater pleasure, Moneypenny, but I have, a, uh...business appointment."
LM: "THAT'S the flimsiest excuse you've EVER given me. Oh well, some girls have all the luck...who is she, James?"
M: "'She' is ME, Miss Moneypenny."

Bond: "Moneypenny, what would I ever do without you?"
LM: "MY problem is that you never do anything *with* me..."

    Smallbone: "Thank you, Commander Bond."
    Bond: "You know me?"
Smallbone: "Miss Moneypenny talked about you."
    LM: "In *nauseating* detail..."

    James Bond: Moneypenny! What gives?
Miss Moneypenny: Me, given an ounce of encouragement. You've never taken me to dinner looking like this. You've never taken me to dinner, period.
James Bond: I would, you know. Only I would be court-martialed for tampering with government property.
Miss Moneypenny: Flattery will get you nowhere... but don't stop trying.

Miss Moneypenny had some great lines. Some of which I cannot post without getting dinged by the mods.
