Quinn Cook certainly does not look fazed out there against NBA competition. He's 6-for-7 from the field, 15p 4a 3r. A confident player.

By the way. The Cavs training camp in being shown on NBA tv at 11.30

I wonder what might have happened in QC's life these past four years to make him a confident player on an NBA team.

    Cavs website is impressed

There are some video highlights at the bottom of the article. There are at least two nice plays from Quinn in the 1 minute 10 second clip...

Another write-up which projects his chances at making the squad as below average, but the Kyrie's injury may be helping him

But word gets around and he may end up in the D league and get a few shots at the league. He has gained some confidence and I wouldn't bet against him. Like Seth- he may find a way to overcome his height by being an elite shooter.

Article title: "Quinn Cook's unyielding pursuit to make the roster of the Cleveland Cavaliers, his late father's hometown team"
    Worth a read.

I enjoyed watching Quinn tonight with the Cavs vs. Atlanta Hawks. I was proud of how confident he was. On offense he looked really good. Composed and confident. It was interesting to see him interacting with the Cavs coach and you could hear the bench calling his name several times to run the the offense. I am no way an expert but in defense he had fantastic energy and focus but he got blown by several times. His stats do not look fantastic but on the other hand way better than Delly....

I wish Quinn was greater then LeBron from a basketball talent aspect. He certainly carries himself much better.

Really? Taking pot shots at LeBron? I mean, do you still harbor some grudge from "The Decision" or something? LeBron has seemed to conduct himself in a pretty good fashion. He doesn't get into trouble, plays the game hard all the time, rarely complains about anything... I'm not sure why you had to prop Quin up by taking LeBron down.

Why are you wasting time here when you could be wasting it by listening to the latest episode of the DBR Podcast?

Wow, LeBron must be pretty bad, considering all of the hand wringing that's gone on around these parts concerning Quinn's body language, etc. over the years.

I guess I'm trying to make DBR history. It's better then bashing a Duke player for there character.

But no not all about the decision. Certainly he probably wish he could of taken some of that back. But running plays for the coach, his own parking spot, and how he pouts when things don't go his way. Certainly there are worse athletes but LeBron is just not one of my favorites.

    Coach K on LeBron:

“I love LeBron. I’ve been with LeBron since he was 20. He and I are very, very close. He, over these last 10 years, has learned to not just be a great athlete, but to use his other great qualities. He’s so smart. He’s such a good leader and talker. I love LeBron. He really is going to be the most unique player to ever play because he can play every position offensively and he can defend every position defensively and no one’s been able to do that in the history of the game."

Good enough for me. In fact, I am very happy Kyrie is on his team. I hope Quinn can earn the opportunity as well.

I'm confused. Who bashed a Duke player for their character? How was that your only choice -- bash a Dukie or bash LeBron?

Sorry, but I'm really not understanding you at all.

I think he may have been referencing my post, the one just before the post that you quoted. I was making a joke about Quinn. I'm a long time Quinn supporter and fan. Some of the Quinn bashing was pretty bad around here two seasons ago, as I'm sure you remember.

Thanks for pointing out the there/their mistake. Makes me bristle.

FWIW, I'm a die hard Hawks fan and I love LeBron. He's such an amazing basketball player.
