Angela Salvadores signs a three year contract with Avenida in Spain:
    http://www.perfumeriasavenidabalonce...a-avenida.html

She continues a grand tradition of former Duke players at the league powerhouse as they look set to compete in EuroLeague Women again.

For those curious, she will be covered here the same way that any early entry Men's player would be.

Does that mean she won't be covered as I don't believe you have covered any early entry Men's players here? Or are you checking to see who's paying attention. I believe I am part of the silent majority who appreciates your efforts in this thread, and others.

She'll be covered. I was comparing her to Shav, who was an early entry. Actually, Marty technically left early since he could have gotten a fifth year. People who transfer and play for another school do not get covered regularly although they get at least twice a year blurbs.

Chante Black is returning to professional basketball after a couple of years off as she joins Bendigo in the same Australian regional league as Kathleen Scheer. An article explaining her absence is here:
    http://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au/...t-lands/?cs=81

Year in and year out, the two leagues in South Korea are considered some of the best options for overseas play because of the reasonable salaries and the complete reliability since all the teams are corporate-owned.

There are known to be some Duke players among the 123 women who are applying for 12 spots in the draft in July, although the list is not published.

The list for the men's league is published here:
    http://www.kbl.or.kr/upfiles/[별첨]2016외국선수신청자(529명).xlsx

Marshall, Quinn, and also Jamal Boykin are among the 529 players who applied, with only 20 players drafted, which I suppose makes it more difficult to get in than the toughest American undergraduate institutions. The league will work through the list and invite some of them to tryouts in Las Vegas after the NBA Summer League and also conduct the draft. Even if both players end up choosing other options, it is good to keep all of the possibilities open at this point.

As seasons end around the world, it is time for an update on some players who started their careers at Duke before moving on to other colleges. While their overseas careers are not covered here in depth, they are mentioned on occasion.

Chelsea Hopkins returned to Israel for another season, changing teams this season and joining Maccabi Ramat Hen. Chelsea proved to be one of the best point guards in the league again this season, nearly leading her team to an upset win for a championship in a thrilling final series after a dominant regular season. Unlike last season, Chelsea's overseas play did not gain her an invitation to a WNBA training camp, but her overseas reputation continues to grow.

Janee Johnson started her professional career this season, playing for Portuguese powerhouse Quinta dos Lombos. She had a solid debut season as the team finished fourth in the regular season, but played well enough in the round robin that decided the champion to end the season as runners up.
