Work for senior national teams that are not the United States, is put in every summer. This week marks the start of the CBC Championships for Women in the British Virgin Islands that will send three Caribbean teams to the 2016 Centrobasket for Women tournament that will determine some of the qualifiers for the 2017 FIBA Americas Championship for Women that fills out part of the field of the 2018 World Championship for Women.

I have tried my best to find the US based roots of any players on the eight teams, but current club teams are a challenge and this is one of the harder international tournaments to find player details for ahead of time. Apple Valley backcourt Tre Jones and Gary Trent Jr are starters along with Duke recruit PF/C Wendell Carter Jr.

Carter Jr and guard Markus Howard off the bench seemed to have the best stat lines. Possible Duke recruit PF Jarred Vanderbilt also stuffed the box score as a starter.

None of them did. I think summer school is part of the reason (if only the tournament was a week or so earlier). Kennard is the only one who had some reporting that he turned down an invite. Given who they did invite, I think it is reasonable to assume that the others would have been at tryouts if they wanted to be.
