(Amile) This is the first game where I felt it wasn't a tough decision.
Who was Man of the Match in Duke's 93-54 win over Furman?
JBDuke
Andre Dawkins: “People ask me if I can still shoot, and I ask them if they can still breathe. That’s kind of the same thing.”
(Amile) This is the first game where I felt it wasn't a tough decision.
Amile played with great energy today. His hustle along with his effectiveness earned my vote.
Bob Green
Okafor was excellent. Amile had a great game. The double-double made me click on Amile.
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.
Voted for Amile, Quinn would have been my second choice. Oak was solid.
I voted for Amile, also! He had an all around great game!!!!! Keep it up, Amile!!! Go Duke!
Roosevelt Jones.
One could also vote for our "PG," who, by committee had 20 points, 7 boards and a 14:3 ratio for A:TO. (Just don't look at their 3 pt shooting too closely.)

Amile. Which is cool, because I have a feeling he won't get a lot of games where he is the MOTM simply because he just isn't going to shoot as much as almost any of the next seven or eight options.
Amile may surprise us all. We sometimes forget that he has the credentials to score quite well (From GO DUKE):

Amile for sure. Granted this was a team of lesser talent/size, but I thought his motor was great, he picked his spots well for rebounds and went to the basket with some purpose.
Anyone else noticing Oak making it a habit of turning it on in the second halves of games?
It's not that I don't think he has ability to score. I think he just has a mind frame on the court to not be looking for his shots as much as other guys naturally do. I can't imagine that Okafor, Winslow, and Cook don't all end up shooting a lot more than Amile and quite possibly on a shots per minute basis, Amile may end up behind both Jones, Sheed, and Grayson, too. He contributes so many other ways, but it's always tougher to get MOTM consideration if you are 4th, 5th, etc. in scoring for the team on the night.
