All indications are that he should be ready to go against Seth on Tuesday. This was probably the best option for Andre for the rest of the season. Impress at this level and a ten day deal could put him right back in the NBA picture.

You never know what will happen in a Reno game and Dahntay was one of the benficiaries today as he had 30 points in 29 minutes as Fort Wayne won 153-131.

The entire league descends on Santa Cruz for a few days at the new location for the Showcase. This is usually the one time that the higher ups in NBA front offices see these games live and there are international teams scouting as well, so it is a good time to impress. Every team plays at least two games, with the top eight teams playing in a knockout tournament that will give the two finalists an extra game. Some games will be on NBATV with the rest on YouTube.

Amen--though in fairness, he might not hit as consistently in games where there is actual defense--which doesn't seem to be the case in the D-League based on these clips.

Andre led all scorers with 33 points in 44 minutes as Sioux Falls beat Maine 103-96 in the quarterfinals. Hope he impressed the scouts as he was left without a point guard when the Sixers decided the tanking was not strong enough and signed Larry Drew II for 10 days.

Full disclosure: I'm the president of the Andre Dawkins fan club. Having said that, how did Andre not get more PT at Duke? You could argue that his defense kept him on the bench but no one played defense last year.

Andre's career at Duke, as Churchill said about Russia, "is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." We will be wondering about it ten years from now.
