I think Seth has been first since the second edition of that list, so hopefully he gets a call-up soon to at least get a chance to prove himself at a higher level.

Nolan had 18 points and 9 rebounds in 41 minutes as Delaware lost 98-94 to Maine.

Andre had some Miami Heat company as they assigned two more players to Sioux Falls and they eased past Iowa 124-105. Andre finished with 17 points in 33 minutes.

Seth was scheduled to make his return to Santa Cruz, but was a late scratch. Elliot Williams had 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists for Santa Cruz as they won 103-84.

If Seth really did have some hip issues, it would be great to get him healthy for Sunday's game at Reno at 8pm ET, where both teams offensive numbers tend to get inflated. Of course at this level, injury excuses may actually be cover for an imminent call-up, so there could be hope on that front.

There were no full highlights for Duke players today, so I will go with a Dahntay Jones dunk with minimal celebration:

Seth missed another game for Erie with his injury and they could have really used his scoring prowess after they got caught in Reno's preferred track meet style and lost 156-133. Giving up 53 points in 12 minutes is never a good sign.

Nolan did not play in Delaware's 108-101 loss to Texas, but lack of coverage out there means that I do know the reason. He does seem to be engaging in banter with the fans of his old team in Turkey on social media though.

What a wild day of D League Saturday was (Los Angeles 175 Reno 152 really happened).

Dahntay and Fort Wayne beat Grand Rapids 92-83, but further details are not available right now.

Seth led all scorers with 38 points and added 6 rebounds and 7 assists in 36 minutes to lead Erie past Iowa 110-83.

    Highlights:

Andre must have had an idea of what Seth was doing, because he entered the Sioux Falls-Texas game with a purpose and started bombing away, finishing with 42 points after hitting 12 of 15 from beyond the arc in 36 minutes as they won 138-126.

When Dawkins' shot is falling it is a beautiful thing to watch. I really desire to see him have a performance like that in an NBA game.

I don't know much at all about basketball but how can Andre be in the NBA and Seth not? Seths stats vs Andre's at Duke weere better. He does really well in the D- League. I love both guys but with my very limited knowledge if I was an NBA coach I would take Seth...

For players who are borderline NBA players, picking the right team to go to Summer League with and the right team to go to training camp with can make all the difference. Even if Miami though Seth was a better player than Andre, they are not necessarily going to just cut Andre and pick up Seth because Andre has been with the team all season and knows their playbook and knows what is expected of him. Without knowing the exact nature of any offers the two players were considering, it is hard to know what the right decisions may have been in hindsight. One theory that I have heard is that teams that suspect that they are going to be bad are reluctant to sign extra shooters, although Orlando's other offseason moves seem to indicate they were trying to strengthen their roster, but they had a lot of other young guards they have a big interest in developing.

Andre found himself in a good situation in Miami where an extra shooter was needed. He beat out a group of other rookies for that last spot and must have continued to impress the staff because he survived against an NBA veteran when they needed to waive a player.

All that said, I believe that if Seth continues to be one of the top D League players, he will get at least one ten day deal to show what he can do. From there all the same things apply. Getting into the right situation and getting enough game time in those ten days is critical.

Andre has a clear position in the NBA. He is a 2 guard with NBA level athleticism and an above average shot. Seth doesn't have a clear NBA position. He might not be good enough to play the point in the NBA and isn't big enough nor athletic enough to play the 2 guard. It's a very similar problem that Nolan had in finding a place in the NBA.
