    2014 NC State Fair Comestibles

State Fair "delicacies" this year include deep-fried barbecue (not sure whether it's pulled or chopped or eastern vs western ), deep-fried Rice Krispie treats and deep-fried Bananas Foster. Lucky me, too, as my new office is probably less than a mile from the State Fairgrounds . Link to follow.

Try the Texas State Fair. I've heard/read they'll deep fry almost anything and a lot of the ideas at the NC State Fair originated deep in the heart of Texas. (I guess both puns intended.)

Hey dd - may I man the van to run from the fair to your office? I'll come up for the week and visit. Let me know.

    Pondering...

How much Cigar City beer can you bring in your van?

Admit it. You want one. Or two. Or more.

I'm taking an extra Crestor tonight after looking at the photos and reading the link and I'm not even attending the event this year.

Murphy House has the Twinx - a Twix bar stuffed into a Twinkie, wrapped in bacon, then deep fried.

    BACON!!!!

Gotta be better for your health than deep fried Twinkies or Rice Krispie treats:
