On Friday, Kathleen Scheer and the Hobart Chargers started the playoffs against their Tasmanian rivals, the Launceston Tornadoes, as both teams knew that they needed a win to keep their season going. After getting swept in the regular season, the team hoped for revenge with the home court advantage, but fell again 67-53. Kathleen had 11 points and 8 rebounds in 36 minutes before fouling out. Izzy Chilcott had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Klara Wischer had 18 points and 9 rebounds. In the win, ex-Iowa State player Lauren Mansfield had 17 points and 8 rebounds, ex-Ohio State player Emilee Harmon had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and ex-Stanford player Mikaela Ruef had 11 points, 22 rebounds, and 6 assists.

It was a tough end to the season for the team, which looked to repeat last year's magical run to the title. After losing a player to the WNBA and others to rival clubs in the league, the team filled in their gaps nicely, getting off to a strong start, but having difficulties in the stretch run as their lack of depth behind their four stars showed. Kathleen had another strong season, building on her all around game. In addition to being fourth in points, Kathleen was ninth in rebounds, thirteenth in assists, and the runaway league leader in blocks. Her next destination for the conventional overseas season is unknown, but she has continued to build a home for herself in Hobart.
