would just like to point out that many of us regard baseless speculation on transfers from the program to be in poor taste. firstly, transferring is a very personal and difficult decision (even more so than choosing a school) where very few of us have any real insight. so unless one knows a player personally or has contacts with that player, such commentary is baseless. second of all, transferring, rightly or wrongly, carries a stigma of disappointment. the player didn't meet expectations, the school didn't meet expectations, etc. i'm not saying this should be the case, but it is. and so discussing the possibility of transfer will be often interpreted as taking a shot at the player or at duke. thirdly, some might misinterpret the discussion of a possible transfer as actual information, which is not good for the player or duke either. it can become a distraction, it can hurt the player's reputation (e.g. commentary around mental toughness), and it can hurt the school's reputation (e.g. for recruiting). for all of those reasons, i tend to err on the side of not speculating on individual player transfers.
just my 2 cents. hopefully, i didn't cross the line/offend by sharing it.
