Coach K is not the only one to boast 4 NC's at Duke . McCrory became the first athlete to win four NCAA titles in platform diving. That is mighty impressive.

Diver Nick McCrory won the NCAA platform diving championship yesterday, becoming the first diver ever to win four NCAA titles in that event. A couple of days earlier, McCrory finished third in the 1-meter diving event. http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.db...DB_OEM_ID=4200
Congratulations to Nick on a great capstone to a spectacular college career. Hope we will see him back at the Olympics in2016.

Congratulations, Nick! That is an amazing accomplishment.
Another Duke Student-athlete makes us proud.
And he did in dramatic fashion -- going from 4th to 1st place in the last round by nailing a very difficult dive.
Great job, Nick.Sitting in fifth place after four dives, McCrory scored a solid 76.50 on a back two-and-a-half somersault to inch up one spot to fourth with one dive remaining. His competition remained within sight as he stepped onto the platform needing 92.95 on his final and most difficult dive to take home the title in what would be heart-stopping fashion.
McCrory didn’t miss a beat as he executed his back two-and-a-half somersault with two-and-a-half twists in the pike position for a 3.6 degree of difficulty almost perfectly. Scoring many 9.0 scores and even a 10, McCrory made history with his 94.5 points on the final dive to beat Arizona’s Rafael Quintero by 2.45 points.
I thought this was pretty exciting when I posted a thread on it yesterday-- http://forums.dukebasketballreport.c...t=nick+mccrory but nobody commented on my thread so it fell off the first page.
So, so many years out of middle school, it still feels bad not to be one of the cool kids. Sigh....
