Duke Blue Devils bound 6′-11″ center Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young (IL) was selected as the Parade Player of the Year on Sunday, in 58th Annual selection of All-America basketball teams by the publication.

I believe Semi was the Parade POY last year so Duke picks up the Parade POY for the second straight year. That may be what they mean about strange picks since Semi was POY over Wiggins, Parker and Randle, etc.
