I'm in the same boat. Not only do you have to join Facebook, but you have to "like" Liberty Mutual's marketing effort there. Pass.

Shame, because Cut deserves the accolades.

And in normal Duke-dissing fashion, John Feinstein disrespects Duke and Cut once again, arguing for Auburn's Head Coach as the "obvious" Coach of the Year candidate.

If Malzahn doesn’t win every coach-of-the-year award ever invented, there should be a federal investigation.

Feinstein's pretty terrible, but this is a reach. Malzahn *does* deserve the Coach of the Year awards - his team is better.

Say what? So why not give it to Jimbo?

Cut certainly isn't an automatic winner, but Duke fans most of all know the obstacles he's faced and still faces. What's so tough about coaching a team with a hundred different advantages over Cut's Blue Devils? Heck, Auburn is only three years away from a national championship. WWCHD if he had been at Auburn instead of Duke? What would Malzahn have done at Duke?
Man, if your Mom made you wear that color when you were a baby, and you're still wearing it, it's time to grow up!

Why *not* Jimbo? He recruited and coached the best team to an undefeated season.

All this talk of obstacles and advantages leads to the kind of thinking that gets Coach of the Year awards for the likes of Seth Greenberg.

No talk of obstacles and advantages would certainly reduce the number of candidates down to one or two each year. And, to expand this no-fuss reasoning, the National Champ coach could pick the Heisman Trophy winner from his own team, just because somebody on the team should obviously get it. And the All-America team...

I kid. Jimbo IS another fine candidate, by the way.
