Coach K on Kyle Singler - "What position does he play? ... He plays winner."
"Duke is never the underdog" - Quinn Cook
Well, Ames High School finally got their first team AA (preseason excluded, of course ).
Congrats to both Mason and Seth! Sure is convenient to have Zeller listed just above Mason to be able to compare and see that Mason beat him out statistically in every single category.
Cody Zeller, Indiana, 7-0, 240, sophomore, Washington, Ind., 16.9 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 57.3 fg pct, 1.3 blocks
Mason Plumlee, Duke, 6-10, 235, senior, Warsaw, Ind., 17.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg, 2.0 apg, 59.2 fg pct, 1.5 blocks

You know what's interesting to me about this? Where these guys were ranked as recruits (all of these are per ESPN's rankings):
Trey Burke: #84
Otto Porter: #42 (one spot below Alex Murphy - four spots below Quinn Cook - and 7 spots below Marshall Plumlee)
Victor Oladipo: Not Ranked
Doug McDermott: Not Ranked
Kelly Olynyk: Not Ranked
So apparently you have to be ranked #42, a multiple thereof or not ranked to be an All-American.
Just looked at Scout: Porter - 30; Burke 94; Others, not ranked.
