Well, it doesn't roll off the tongue like "Vegas, baby! Vegas!" but that's where I'm headed this weekend. Now I know some of you must frequent AC - so here's my question:
Where do you go and why?
I'm talking best casinos, bars, restaurants, clubs, etc. etc. etc. We're trying to show a friend a good time for his bachelor party (he lives in Philly, so AC's alot closer than Vegas). What should we do?

PS - Has anyone gone to the Tun Taverna? It seems to be one of the only places we can get reservations for this weekend.
Geez... sounds like you're going to have a lame weekend. Oh wait...
And I thought it was Tun Tavern... are you already doing the Metallica-speak thing?
Exit LIGHT-A!
Enter NI-EEEEEET-A!
Grain of Sand-A!
rrrrrrrrrr Off to never-never land-A!
You're drinking already, aren't you Moose?
There really is only one place in AC that is worth going to at night if you want something that is reasonably similar to Las Vegas and that's the Borgata. It has great restaurants and bars/clubs but because it is the only place worth going to in AC it is usually packed and summer weekends there are even more packed that normal. Within the hotel you will feel like you are in a Vegas hotel/casino and it will be the kind of crowd you are looking for and I guarantee you will run into at least three bachelorette parties, possibly more.
Never heard of the Tun Tavern.
I've never been to the Borgata, but I've heard from friends that it is a must see. I did see it on a few World Poker Tour shows where they did a tournament at the Borgata, but it was focused on the poker room the entire time.
Bachelorette parties, eh? You should try used car sales - you've already sold me on the Borgata!

Glad you're sold. You'll definitely enjoy the atmosphere and the crowd there. What you might not enjoy is table limits no lower than $50 for blackjack or impossible to get into restaurants or long lines at the clubs where they are only letting in women. I'd suggest hooking up with one of the bachelorette parties and trying to get into the bars/clubs with them.
By the way Meatloaf is there this weekend. I wonder if he'll pay any kind of tribute to Phil Rizzuto.
Wow, am I tired. Got back yesterday at 9:30pm after a weekend in Philly and Atlantic City. Thanks for all the tips! Here are the highlights -
Had my first Philly cheese steak from Philly. We drove for about 20 minutes through the not so good part of town to eat at Tony Luke's, winner of the 2005 Best of Philly "Best Cheesesteak" category. Got the cheese steak with wiz. From what I found out, cheese wiz makes it better. I think this may be the exception, rather than the rule.
Stayed in Absecon, NJ --at the world renowned Super 8 Motel. The money we saved from the room price we spent on a limo to AC! 75 bucks for 7 people one way - that ain't bad!
Gambled at the Taj, Bally's, and Caesar's - I will never play another slot machine other than White Ice! It pays out the small stuff constantly so you can stick around for the one big hit. And it always hits!
And the Tun Tavern was busy, badly serviced, had slightly over priced food, and the band wouldn't play "Dead or Alive" no matter how hard we yelled. The beer, on the other hand, was spectacular. Which maybe was why we were yelling so hard for "Dead or Alive"...
Finally, I've come to find out that I-95 has actually been turned into a parking lot between DC and Philly. Probably up to NYC, too. The 6 hour trip from Philly to Durham took about 9 and 1/2. I think that's why I'm still tired...it wasn't the great beer at Tun's at all. I swear!

Inquiring minds want to know...how many bachelorette parties did you hang out with?
Define "hang out"
We sat by two of them at Tun Tavern and loudly (maybe too loudly) thought thoughts. And by "thought thoughts" I mean, talked about buying them drinks.
Which we never actually did.
Wow, we're lame.
- Moose
PS - It was really more like a "guys hanging out with their bros" type of evening. Gambling, beer...you know, the usual.
