Cindy Lou & Co. had things going their way early, but Duke closed out the first half on an 11-0 run to take a two-point lead into the locker room.

Through the second half, Duke has slowly gotten control and lead by 11 with six minutes to go.

The game was 8-12 points for most of the second half. But Duke pulls away in the last 5 minutes, winning by 21 in Charlottesville. The hoos just had no answer for E-Wil.

I always feel a little sad when we beat a former Dukie now Head Coaching elsewhere. Solid game for Duke all around.

Now get ready for the "battle for the ACC," and trounce the Terps. Everyone knows the Big10 can't play no Women's Basketball!!!

Duke won the last 24 minutes 49-19. Once they got rolling, Virginia had no answer.

We held Virginia to 26.7 percent from the floor despite being out-rebounded by seven.

Bring on that Big Ten team.

P.S. Women's lax opened the 2013 season with a 16-7 win over VaTech earlier this evening. Kerrin Maurer led the Devils with three goals and five assists.

Virginia played great for the first 15 minutes. Nice to see Duke take the punches and not panic, bide their time and them dominate the last 25 minutes.

    Nice win.
