We were #3 when I was in school. The currents students must suck

An insider has informed me Duke is #8 in the 2008 edition to come out soon, right behind MIT and in front of Columbia.
For reference, last year's:
1. Princeton
2. Harvard
3. Yale
4. Cal
4. Stanford
4. MIT
7. Penn
8. Duke
9. Dartmouth
9. Columbia
9. Chicago
Columbia has apparantly "jumped" Darmouth, so I'm guessing it goes 1-6 Pr,Ha,Ya,Ca,St,Pe in some order, then 7. MIT 8. Duke 9. Columbia 10. Dartmouth.

We were #4 when I graduated...

The hot college cover was NY Times Magazine.
IMO rankings are not worth worrying about - it is one opinion based on one algorithm. School - and life - is what you make of it.
Jason - how could you walk uphill both ways to/from class, if you never went to class? :-)
I have no idea what Duke was ranked when I was rejected during my senior year of high school in 1977 . Fortunately for me, the U.S. Navy and school of hard knocks considered me exceptionally qualified!

Surprising that our "Peer Assessment" is lower than that of Chicago or Cornell...
